He (the husband) is the jam to my perfectly buttered toast.
He is currently on my nice list. He was thoughtful enough to gift me a three month massage membership — and I’m waiting to be called back for massage #1; please note, this is my second favorite gift.
Clearly he’s realized that it’s important for mommy to feel well (mentally and physically), in order for everyone else to be happy.
My first favorite gift this year was having all of my family and closest friends in one place sharing drinks, love and tons of laughter. I am so thankful for the amazing people in my life. I’m even more thankful to be a wife to a phenomenal man and a mommy to three magnificent children.
Ok, my sappy post is done.
What was your favorite gift this holiday season?
Other than when skiing or snowboarding? Maybe the folks that live in Alaska or work out in the snow?
My sweet little family and I are headed North (Philadelphia to be specific) to celebrate my birthday and attend my company’s holiday party. For those that don’t know, we reside in Florida. So in packing for this trip, my husband has mentioned on several occasions that I need gloves. For real? No, thanks.
While I did purchase a pair of boots and have decided to leave my favorite Reef’s behind, I refuse to wear gloves. No way am I covering up my beautiful, freshly painted pink and whites. Not to mention, it’s a far cry that I’ll actually “layer” on this trip so gloves are out of the question. Along with a beanie or head/ear cover thing. I can hardly wear sunglasses without them tickling my nose, headbands without giving me a headache and hats that make my head sweat. So I say no to gloves and beanies.
If I don’t post for a while, my fingers have frost bite and you can laugh while thinking to yourself “what a dumb Floridian.” I promise it won’t hurt my feelings.
